Texas Chief Information Security Officer Nancy Rainosek Named to MS-ISAC Executive Committee

“I am honored to be appointed to the Multi-State IAC Executive Committee,” Rainosek said. “I’m excited to work with this organization that provides so much value to state, local, tribal, and territorial organizations.”

Along with a forum to share cybersecurity threat information, the MS-ISAC provides cyber threat prevention, protection, response, and recovery resources for the more than 13,000 U.S. State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial (SLTT) government organizations that are members. It is a division of the Center for Internet Security and is funded by the federal Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).

“Nancy’s appointment to the MS-ISAC Executive Committee solidifies her as a leader in cybersecurity, not only in Texas, but in the nation,” said Amanda Crawford, DIR’s Executive Director and State of Texas Chief Information Officer. “I applaud the MS-ISAC for appointing her to this position and I know she will be an asset as the organization tackles the many cybersecurity challenges facing our nation.”

The MS-ISAC Executive Committee consists of 13 representatives different state governments, local governments, tribal nations, territories, and the District of Columbia. The executive committee provides the organization strategic guidance and recommendations, and votes on matters brought to its attention coming from workgroups or the MS-ISAC members-at-large.
