DIR Chief Technology Officer and State of Texas Deputy Chief Information Officer Recognized by National Association of State Technology Directors

John Hoffman was recognized with an Honorary Life Membership by the National Association of State Technology Directors (NASTD) at the annual conference on August 25, 2021.

Hoffman serves as the Deputy State Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer for the Texas Department of Information Resources.  John joined the DIR team in 2010 and has held various roles within the agency in network and security.  He is responsible for providing comprehensive strategic planning for the state's technology efforts as well as the agency.   John ensures strategic development of contracts and services which DIR offers including enterprise architecture, application management, innovation, and technology implementation. John brings over 30 years of experience in the technology sector. 

Life membership in NASTD is an honor bestowed upon individuals for years of meritorious service and outstanding commitment to the professional organization. Only 63 individuals have earned this recognition since 1978. It is the highest honor from NASTD.
